“Raised by the Sea,” is an ongoing series of acrylic landscape paintings of the Cayman Islands. I chose to portray the Cayman Islands because this is where I am from; this is my home. With this series I give you a glimpse into the environment that helped shape me into the person I am today.

I was raised by the sea and there is no question in my mind that this is where I belong. The Caribbean Sea (with its smells, sounds, and caresses) is the only thing that I have found to be truly therapeutic in my life. I have found that the water has such a powerful ability to make the bad days good and the good days even brighter.

These works are my ode to the Caribbean Sea, and I can only hope that I have done it justice.
